Trail notes
The Georgia Traverse crosses the state on dirt wherever dirt exists, and the western segment is its wildest: forest roads climbing through the Cohutta Wilderness edge country, the Jacks River ford, and long ridgeline stretches where the Blue Ridge stacks up in blue layers. Red clay is the local hazard. Friction is a rumor after rain. Ends in Blue Ridge with brewery recovery options.
